"But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit." -1 Corinthians 6:17

From God's perspective, why would he redeem us only for us to continue indulging in sin? How would he feel? The satisfaction and wholeness that God offers is beyond anyone or anything else.

We cannot and should not be united to both God and something else.
